1st Simpang Rengam Company Band

Holy and Glory ! The musical band of 1^st Simpang Renggam Company was form at year 2003. From the beginning until today, it was many changing occurs in this band. From a flute band became a small brass band, although not a full in brass wind instrument, it is a miracle for a band which just form in few years and develop by own power.

In these few years, our band has been involved in number of the events. On year 2003, our band was performed as a guest in the band competition of Pesta Malacca 2003 “Dare to be different!” and it was the first time we took part in Pesta, although just a normal band formation performance, but we obtain a lot of unforgettable experience from it. In the year 2004, the 1^st officially band competition is come to us which is “Johor State School Band Competition”. Although we got 5^th place out of 5 teams but we do not felt disappointed for it because throughout each competition we will left a lot of sweet (fun), bitter (scored by leader), sour (can’t obtain champion), spicy (practice under the sun) memory in our mind, it not just a simple band competition but is a valuable challenge to ourselves.

On the other hand, our band also frequently invite by public parties for certain meaningful festivals such like school sport day, National day, Mid-autumn Festival and others but the most important is after our band performance we will always received the cheerful from the audience and it is one of the motivation for us to keep moving forward.

Nowadays , 1^st Simpang Rengam Company Band have around 40 band members and lead by our Sgt Ng Tzyy Yng, Cpl Koh Yan Horng, Cpl Khor Hai Sheng, Lcpl Lim Chee Yap and Lcpl Low Jia Chai. God bless that we can upgrade our band to a complete brass band and able to organize our own concert in the future year!

DIY Cupboar For BB Room

On 13 January 2008, Some seniors and Captain was had an activity to renew 1^st Simpang Rengam Company BB Room which held at church.

We took all the thing out from BB Room and cleaned it. Furthermore, we also built a cupboard with the help of Captain Liang. From a few woods to a cupboard, we use about 5 hours to done it. Some of us also paint the cupboard to let it look good.

In this activity, we learnt many techniques for building cupboard. Thanks god , Thanks Captain…Our BB Room look more tidy now~

1st Simpang Rengam Company Camp 2008

BB Nite 2007 ~ B The Story ~

29 December 2007 was a big day to all member of 1st Simpang Rengam Company because that day was our BB Night. All of us waked up early in the morning 6.00am to prepare our morning activities which were charity bazaar, funfair and also car wash. The morning event started at 7.30am which held at Tuan Poon School. This event had attracted a lot of citizen of Simpang Rengam came and join us.

About 6pm the event started when the reached of representative of Dato Seri Kerk Choo Ting arrived and promptly inspected the guard of honor team. After that, The whole event was started with the speech which delivered by our Captain, Mr. Liang Siam Sang and followed by our Chaplain and the opening speech by Representative of Dato Seri Kerk Choo Ting.

Then, the whole performers started which were Drama, Music Drill, Basketball Performer, Band and finally our dances. Drama was the whole part of the performers and which describe about the started of recruitment, the problem that face by members until BB Night which want to help poor members to overcome their financial problem. Later on, music drill show which were the compound of music and drill. Basketball was the activity that 1st Simpang Rengam play on every 3rd Saturday but we performed it on the stage with the rhythm of music. Furthermore, we also presented a band performers which conducted by Our Sgt. Ng Tzyy Yng. The last performers was dancing by all the members of 1st Simpang Rengam Company with the music “We’re all in this together”.

Although all members were very tired but each of us had a store of memories, which will not easy to effacted.
